Can you figure out a fill in date after Akron in Ann Arbor or Detroit?

Got two tickets for the Gallaxy in Santa Ana tomorrow night. Very stoked!!! Suzanne isn't much into the club scene but said if Rhett comes through Orange County again let's get on it. We caught him at the Troubadour in Hollywood a few years back and became huge fans of The Believer and The Instigator. Man, Rhett Miller rocked the house that night. Standing room only. People didn't want to freakin' leave after a two hour non-stop performance.

Saw him later at the Couchhouse in San Juan Capistrano, with a large posse from the local 24 Hour Fitness club in Irvine. Frankly, the sound man at the Couchhouse was on a mental vacation that night and Rhett had to soldier through a lot of technical shit to entertain us. But the man... he still nailed it. Kobe Bryant with a guitar playing though broken fingers and back spasms! At one point his E string snapped mid song during Singular Girl which could throw a lot of road seasoned soloists, but the dude just continued to rip it. Then, at the end of Singular, he throws down the guitar, grabs another one out of a nearby case and launches into Help Me, Suzanne in one smooth carefree motion. Only people like me that suffer performance anxiety for performers they watch probably appreciate the level of poise and professionalism it took to pull that off.

So we're way up for Rhett's Galaxy show tomorrow night. Can't wait to experience a Rhett Miller performance backed up by Serial Lady Killers!
